Tensor Fascia Latae insertions -Iliotibial band.
The iliotibial band is a thick band of tissue that begins at the iliac crest in the pelvis, runs down the outer part of the thigh, and crosses the knee to attach into the top part of the tibia or shinbone. The iliotibial (IT) band helps stabilize the knee through its range of motion. OnHealth.com Image |

| Vastus Medialis - origins - Medial side of femur. Linea aspera of femur |
| Vastus Medialis - insertions -Tibial tuberosity via patellar tendon |
| Vastus Medialis - actions -Extension of the knee |
| Vastus Medialis - notes Vastus Medialis goes over the knee indirectly via the patellar ligament. The patellar ligament goes over the knee, not the medialis. Vastus Medialis @ GetBodySmart. |
| Vastus Intermedius |
| Vastus Intermedius - palpable |
| Vastus Intermedius - origins - Anterior shaft of femur |
| Vastus Intermedius - insertions -Tibial tuberosity via patellar tendon |

Biceps Femoris - origins - Long Head: Ischial tuberosity and sacrotuberous ligament Short Head: Linea aspera of femur |
| Biceps Femoris - insertions -Head of fibula and posterior side of lateral condyle of tibia |
Biceps Femoris - actions -Flexion of the knee and Extension of the hip |
